It's About Time!
This is a collaborative initiative between Limerick Education Centre and the Department of the Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. Our aim is to support the preservation of our archaeological heritage through raising awareness and deepening understanding and appreciation of its richness and diversity.
There are two main sections which contain bespoke lesson plans and multimedia resources supporting both primary and post-primary curricula. To access the full content of the resources it is recommended that Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 9 is used as a web browser (there are currently some compatibility issues with Internet Explorer 10).
Commencing on Monday September 16
(and every subsequent month) we welcome the publication of the Irish Examiner newspaper series of five heritage based articles based on the Transition Year resource. A digital version of the launch article published in May is available
. The other articles, in order of publication, can be accessed here:
for more information.
Take time to explore the latest news and media sections (click on the media tab to reveal the video clips associated with the Irish Examiner articles, you can also view the full range of video clips by clicking on the archive tab).
Limerick Education Centre wishes to acknowledge our partners, the National Monuments Service of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Irish Examiner newspaper for their support of this worthy initiative.
